There are 8 major question all successful businesses need to answer in order to have real traction and growth.
With this 3-day planning event, you’ll be able to:
- Simplify the strategic planning process with our step by step guidance.
- Getting your vision out of your head and onto paper.
- Answer eight key questions to get clarity on your company’s future.
After the 3 days, you’ll have everything you need to create real momentum and traction in your business for 2024.

PHASE 1
Core Values
First we look at who the company is and its culture. This is essential in order to define who fits in the business and who doesn’t. It is important to hire, fire, review and reward based on your core values.
This phase includes:
- Choosing between 3 – 5 core values
- Finalised your Core Values
- Scale your Core Values company-wide
After this phase, you’ll really focus on getting the right people in the right seats, so you can build a team that is excited to be in your business.


PHASE 2
Core Focus
Your Core Focus is what keeps your train on track. This is frequently referred to as ‘mission’, ‘vision’, or ‘voice’.
This phase includes:
- Defining your reason for being: The ‘why’ behind your company — your purpose/cause/passion.
- Clarity on your niche: The market/product/service you uniquely rock.
Once defined the combination of the Core Values & Focus helps you to stay focused. So that you not get distracted by non-core activities.
PHASE 3
10-Year Target
Now you have your core values & focus it is time to select the time-horizon – five-25 years – however typically, clients want a horizon of 10 years.
This phase includes:
- Setting your BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal)
- Forgetting the short-term shiny stuff that makes no headway
- No more the woulds and coulds you will ask yourself ‘where do I want this company to be 10 years from now
After this phase, you and your staff have something to look forward to in 10 years and helps you keep focus.


PHASE 4
Marketing Strategy
In a post-pandemic world, marketing has taken a shift. And this means you’re going to need to do a major strategy overhaul.
And what perfect timing — once you’ve figured out your strategy, document it.
This phase includes:
- Define your Target Market: Check this one off early — don’t waste time, or money, barking up the wrong tree.
- Define your 3 Uniques: Your differentiators — the main value propositions. Essentially, what makes you unique.
- Locking in a proven process: Having this puts your client and employees at ease.
- Providing a guarantee: Create a process to help make you customer feel working with you an easy yes.
Once completed you will know how you sell your product or service, using the four simple steps.
PHASE 5
3-Year Picture™
Now you have all the big vision, focus and goals, it is time to start to form your project management tool.
This phase includes:
- Defining the specific targets of what you will achieve (future date, revenue, profit and measurables)
- Paint a picture with the number of employees, clients, new products, market and sales efforts, awards you will win and so on.
This is final final phase of the vision planning as you have a detailed, compelling Three Year Picture.


PHASE 6
1-Year plan
You have now completed all the vision planning, it's time Kicking it off for the Traction portion with your 1-Year plan.
This phase includes:
- Set specific targets of what you will achieve in the next 12 months
- Choose between 1 – 7 projects to ace in that period.
- Give those projects some stretching SMART goals.
Your 1-year plan is about bringing your long-term vision for the business to life, with a robust process that guides project selection and keeps you focussed on increasing growth and revenue
PHASE 7
Quarterly Rocks
Now it’s time to go a level deeper. You will find the most important things to achieve in the next 90 days that are fundamental your success.
This phase includes:
- Focus: chose the 3-7 most important goals.
- Clarity: Well-documented goals give you a clear north star. What’s the next step? What’s the priority? Should I do this or that?
- Greater accountability: Assigning an owner. There’s no hiding from responsibility when your name’s on it.
- Results: With a more focused and accountable team, one that is supported by a documented process, your productivity is set to soar (and so is your revenue).
Most companies try to focus on too many objectives, however after this phase you will have a short list that will help to give you real traction and results.


PHASE 8
Issues List
Finally, the last part is working through issues that may hold you back from achieving your vision and getting traction. These will need to be discussed and agreed by the team.
This phase includes:
- Listing obstacles
- Considering challenges
- Forecasting problems
- Looking for opportunities and;
- Sharing ideas
You will have to be a little tough on yourself here, but you will be thanking yourself for this later.
